This one is called "Bad Moon Rising" It started life as the new Revell/Monogram 49 mercury kit. The Incredible paint was done by my good friend Virgil Suarez, he sent me the body and i had to build it. This model took first place in the "custom" class at the annual Three Rivers Automodelers show in 2008. Besides the paint, it has operating headlights that are green! the interior was done in tan, and there are 2 skulls facing out the back window...
This 49 Merc is the "Dreamsicle" named after those great orange ice cream bars! The paint is House of color, with 4 coats of clear, and buffed to a mirror finish. Once again, this one was painted by my good friend Virgil Suarez....a big thank you goes out to him for his amazing paintwork! The interior was done in orange and black, and features photo reduced gauges, and magazines on the seat.
This next merc was built from the old AMT kit. The body was section 3 scale inches, the top was chopped 3 scale inches. The hood has been "pancaked", the headlights "frenched" The engine is a chrysler Hemi, from a newer dodge kit. It has been fully wired and plumbed. The taillights were frenched into the trunk lid. This is one of my older builds, so its not up to "par" with the other mercs here.
