This first build is a 1950 Chevrolet 3 ton Truck. There are parts from 11 different kits involved in this build, the main 2 kits were AMT`s 1950 Chevy pickup, and Italeris Opel-blitz truck. The Flatbed was scratchbuilt from basswood and strip styrene. The entire truck has been heavily weathered and rusted. Some of the scratchbuilt features include : Flatbed, Exhaust system, The bumpers and running boards, and also the "rookie rods". Several different painting and weathering techniques were employed on this build. The flat bed features a load of scrap automotive parts and miscallaneous junk all scavenged from my spare parts stash.
